We are back, chilibabies! And this season (2022-23) we have BIG plans! We are featuring two exciting segments. The first is, “Incorrect!” where we work through, lecture about, and debunk problems and questions that are alllll too common when we talk about religion. Our second segment is, “So Glad You Asked”, where we will address questions from YOU (yes you!), our lovely listeners. Finally, we begin this season with a very important announcement. We are writing a BOOK, so that we can continue to show the world why religion is STILL not done with you. We are pleased to be working with Beacon Press on this project that is coming to shelves in 2024.
The 101:
(where we did the professor-work)
”Incorrect!”
(The segment where we gently but firmly remind you what is wrong with how we perceive religion, and why misperception is POWERFUL and DANGEROUS)
The impromptu, everyday lectures that we find ourselves giving way too often and why we can’t just hold it together. These are the most common questions that we face as scholars of religion.
“So Glad You Asked”
(The segment where we answer YOUR questions. Thank you for your input, nerds.)
These are all of the lovely questions that you all have submitted! Questions like, “why is food such a big deal in religion?” and “what is LITERALLY going on in the Supreme Court, and what does it have to do with religion???” Tune in to hear the answers to your wonderful and scholarly questions.
Pod News!!
(Because we worked hard and it’s okay to brag… )
This season has two main sources of funding that are honestly sort of a big deal….
The UVM REACH (Research Enhancement in the Arts, Creative disciplines and Humanities) grant which is an internal grant at the University of Vermont which will support three rockstar undergraduate research assistants who will help with a lot of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a podcast!
Luce-AAR Advancing Public Scholarship Grant which supports scholars of religion who are offering innovative ways to make scholarship more accessible to the public.
AND we are excited to announce that we will be working with Beacon Press to publish a book in 2024, this book will be focused on alllll of the ways that religion is STILL not done with you.
