We are back, chilibabies! And this season (2023-24) we have BIG plans! We are reupping last season’s two exciting segments plus some remastered rereleases.
The first is, “Incorrect!” where we work through, lecture about, and debunk problems and questions that are alllll too common when we talk about religion. Our second segment is, “So Glad You Asked”, where we will address questions from YOU (yes you!), our lovely listeners.
Finally, we are rereleasing a bunch of our lesser-listened-to-but-definitely-important episodes that we think have got lost in the shuffle of our 76 (76!) episodes.
The 101:

Like season 5, season 6 is (partially) dedicated to talking through the everyday ideals, questions, and misconceptions about religions and what it means for people to BE religious. We based this season around your questions with our segment “So Glad You Asked”, and “Incorrect!” where we talk through and discuss all of the things are….incorrect about how we think about and talk about religion. These are impromptu lectures that are based around everyday religion questions that are often rooted in racist, imperialist, and colonial assumptions around religiosity and religious institutions.
Tag along, nerds, while we continue to show you why religion, whether you like it or not, is simply not done with you. This season is aimed at the problems questions about religion that exist all around us. Join us as we tackle questions that should MATTER if we want to live in more anti-colonial and aware spaces.

The impromptu, everyday lectures that we find ourselves giving way too often and why we can’t just hold it together. These are the most common questions that we face as scholars of religion.

These are all of the lovely questions that you all have submitted! Questions like, “why is food such a big deal in religion?” and “what is LITERALLY going on in the Supreme Court, and what does it have to do with religion???” Tune in to hear the answers to your wonderful and scholarly questions.
Rereleases
(Because we worked hard and it’s okay to remind y’all of the things that already exist)
This season, we’ll have at least half of our episodes fall under this category. We’re digging deep into the KI101 archives and pulling out the episodes that seem not to get any love—to our dismay. We’re reintroducing and offering some hot takes on those, and then letting y’all hear them again at the top of the playlist.
